Usage Guide

After successful installation of the SmartAlt module, go to the OpenCart control panel: Extensions -> Extensions -> Modules and find SmartAlt in the list. Click the "Edit" button (pencil icon).

General Settings

In the first tab, you will see the main parameters:

• Status: Enable the module for it to work on the storefront.
• License Key: Enter the license key you received upon purchase. (If you did not specify a domain, follow the instructions directly in the module).

Window Settings (Modal Window)

In this section, the visual appearance and texts of the modal window with the list of alternative products are configured:

• Heading text: The main heading of the window (for example, "This product is currently out of stock, but we have selected excellent alternatives").
• Description text: Additional explanatory text below the heading.
• Limit of products to display: Specify the maximum number of similar products that will be shown to the buyer (we recommend 4-8 products for fast loading).

Slider Settings (Display Logic)

Here the rules are set for when and exactly how the module should be triggered:

• Display delay (seconds): How many seconds after entering the product page of an out-of-stock product the pop-up window with alternatives will appear. Enter 0 for an immediate appearance.
• Only for "Out of Stock" products: When activated, the window will trigger exclusively for products where the quantity (stock) is zero.
• Show for products with 0 stock and status: Select specific stock statuses (for example, "Out of Stock", "2-3 Days", "Out of Production") under which the selection of alternatives should be launched. You can use the "Select All" or "Unselect All" buttons for quick selection.

Colors and Design

Customize the appearance of the module's elements to match your theme's design:

• Button Color / Icon Color: The base color of the main elements.
• Hover Color: The color of the button or icon when the mouse cursor hovers over it (hover effect). Use the convenient built-in Color Picker tool.

Tip

To achieve the best conversion, make the button color contrast with the background of your site. This way, the customer's attention will be immediately focused on purchasing the offered alternative.

After making all changes, do not forget to click the "Save" button in the upper right corner of the control panel.
